Most commonly used alongside bronze knifes for range training, they are relatively cheap and have a fast attack rate.

Buying them in large quantities is very easy. There are usually venders in world 1 (First on the list called 301 in OSRS) on the east side of the smithing hut next to Varrock's West bank.

To create iron knifes you will need an iron bar, hammer, an anvil, and 22 smithing. Every bar smithed produces 5 knifes.

An alternative to this method is the all in one method, which grants notable amounts of Mining, Smithing, and Magic experience, especially at lower levels, as well as making a profit. You will need 15 mining, 22 smithing, and 43 magic. Bring a hammer, pickaxe, fire staff, and as many Nature runes as you can afford.

Go to the Dwarven Mines entrance by the monastary. After climbing down the ladder, heading south will lead you to some anvils to your right and iron ore deposits to your left. Mine an inventory of iron, superheat them into bars (100% success rate with superheat), and then smith them into knifes. Repeat until you have all the knifes in the world! This is a great method for training two of the more monotonous skills in the game, while still making money.

This was previously an empty page, and has been edited in a rush at 7am by a person about to leave for work. Basic information has been given to the best of the authors ability, as well as some advanced information. If this impromptu page is truly a travesty to the OSRS wiki, and goes against any established authorship rules, then what about the guy who came and deleted the whole page for fun? Grams and Spells can suck a dds spec.

Iron knives can be made using the Smithing skill at level 22. One iron barcreates 5 iron knives and grants 25 smithing experience. Buying iron bars and smithing them into knives is usually profitable depending on prices at the time. Like all knives they have an incredibly fast fire rate the same as darts. Along withbronze knives which are the same range bonus as iron darts, are considered to be one of the fastest and most efficient ways to gain Ranged experience.
